Critics generally found the sequel entertainingly crude but less fresh and less consistently characterized than its predecessor.
What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
Jim, Kevin, Oz, Stifler, Finch, and their friends coordinate a major beach-house party as their separate problems multiply.
The super glue mix-up and other explicit sexual blunders drive the film's broadest comic set pieces.
The returning group spends the summer together and repeatedly tests its bonds through rivalry, jealousy, and shared escapades.
The film's sex-comedy premise, party culture, and deliberately provocative gags reflect its early-2000s teen-comedy context.
