What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
The Addams household embraces detached-body servants, death jokes, fencing, and morbid rituals as ordinary family life.
The wealthy family mansion, Morticia's costume design, Lurch's imposing presence, and the film's stylized macabre trappings create a stage-like gothic world.
The loving Addams family is threatened by a crooked accountant, a loan shark, and a fraudulent relative seeking access to their vault.
A loan shark's son is positioned as the Addamses' long-lost Uncle Fester so the conspirators can reach the family fortune.
