What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
Metin and Gizem are brought together by their mutual pain and solitude, with their relationship offering a route back into life.
Metin repeatedly sings at a bar, and the film is explicitly driven by Halil Sezai Paracıkoğlu's songs.
Metin's life is described as a repetitive cycle of bar performances and mourning after losing the woman he loved.
The film's Turkish-language setting, contemporary love story, and emphasis on solitude place it within a distinctly modern Turkish melodramatic register.
