What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
The museum's figures, stolen corpses, and Igor's maimed hands create the film's defining visual motif.
The film combines corpse theft, implied surgical violence, and sexualized danger in a pre-Code Hollywood setting.
Igor's museum presents culture and beauty while concealing disappearances and the use of human remains.
The burned museum, wax galleries, morgue imagery, and gruesome makeup emphasize stylized visual shock.
