What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
The off-season island villa is described as a nearly luxurious prison where the household's isolation intensifies hostility.
Vanessa and her stepdaughters Kiki and Vivi immediately hate and despise one another after the father's death.
Vanessa's former lover Roberto enters the villa to tutor the girls, complicating the existing hierarchy through eroticized adult relationships.
The story takes place on an island villa a little out of season, with the half-empty island reinforcing confinement.
