What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
The Rebel mission to obtain the Death Star plans is framed as a desperate operation whose success matters more than individual survival.
The film combines spacecraft battles, military command structures, insurgency, and planetary combat across the galaxy.
Jyn Erso and the Rebel ensemble experience the galactic conflict through covert operations, urban fighting, and frontline danger rather than royal destiny.
The Death Star project and the Erso family connection link personal history to the Rebellion's urgent mission.
