What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
David Kingston investigates unexplained deaths and missing people while Abraham Brant exerts mystical authority over Helena.
The town of Helena is presented as an ominous, isolated setting surrounding repeated unexplained deaths.
The investigation concerns people disappearing south of the border and a local leader whose influence dominates the town.
The film’s distinctive Helena duels frame violence through ceremonial language about blood, dust, and remembered deeds.
