What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
Alice and Doris seek communication with Roger, allowing bereavement to motivate the family’s use of the Ouija board.
The Zanders’ suburban Los Angeles home contains the séance business, basement secret, and manifestations threatening the family.
The 1967 setting is presented through period production design and an intentionally old-fashioned horror-film aesthetic.
