What critics said
Critics broadly found the film energetic and occasionally entertaining but muddled by an incoherent plot, thin characterization, and excessive spectacle.
What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
The stolen plates for printing one billion dollars drive the team's mission and the competing operations around it.
The team survives and improvises through exaggerated missions, including the airborne tank sequence, with humor embedded in the set pieces.
The film reworks the established A-Team premise and characters for a 2010 blockbuster format.
The soldiers are court-martialed after their commanding officer is killed and the plates disappear, forcing them outside the military system.
