What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
Maureen receives messages and encounters apparitions while searching for contact with her dead twin, without a stable explanation for the phenomena.
Anonymous texts become the central disruption in Maureen's already isolated life and connect mundane technology to the film's suspense.
Maureen moves through high-profile fashion establishments while privately grieving in her deceased brother's abandoned house.
Maureen's mediumship, oath to Lewis, and repeated attempts to find a sign make bereavement the source of the film's uncanny tension.
