What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
Adam's disclosure and the reactions of Chris, Nick, and Ortu make the longstanding friendship the central emotional stake.
Adam is a car mechanic whose sexuality becomes visible within a small, working-class town and blue-collar male circle.
The friends' unsuspecting reactions to Adam's coming out create awkwardness without displacing the film's emphasis on camaraderie.
The plot follows the damage and attempted repair caused by one friend's disclosure to the other three.
