What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
Casey's spell animates Eve, a life-size fashion doll who must adapt to the real world.
Casey attempts to resurrect her deceased mother, and Eve's arrival redirects her grief toward emotional adjustment.
Fourteen-year-old Casey must manage Eve's enthusiastic but socially inexperienced presence while reconnecting with her father.
Eve is a fashion-plate dress-up doll, and the film builds its fantasy around late-1990s consumer toy culture.
