What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
MI6 is attacked, compromised, and forced to relocate while M's authority is questioned by Gareth Mallory.
Bond's return to active service is framed against physical decline, changing technology, and questions about how long an agent can continue.
Silva's hidden motives and history with M make the threat to MI6 deeply personal rather than merely geopolitical.
The film contrasts London landmarks, art spaces, Shanghai imagery, and the isolated Skyfall estate with large-scale set pieces.
