What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
Fantozzi remains a mocked example of the employee who cannot advance, even after retirement and reemployment.
Fantozzi gains confidence, returns to work, and achieves a brilliant career that ultimately leads to prison.
Office ridicule, bully-led confidence lessons, and an implausibly disastrous career trajectory turn employment into an escalating farce.
The film repeatedly places Fantozzi within an Italian office culture defined by hierarchy, career stigma, and bureaucratic power.
