What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
Norman uses name-dropping, fabricated relationships, and small acts of kindness to construct a political and business network.
Norman's role as a Jewish fixer serving American-Israeli business and political interests evokes the court Jew tradition identified in the reception material.
Norman becomes socially prominent through a tenuous connection, while increased visibility threatens to unravel his constructed identity.
Norman operates without a conventional office, carrying his business through Manhattan streets, phone calls, and improvised meetings including Penn Station.
