What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
Miroslava is kidnapped during her wedding and carried to the dragon's remote island, where the central relationship develops under coercive circumstances.
The dragon's remote island castle functions as both the primary setting and the couple's separation from the human world.
The dragon who abducts Miroslava occupies the story's threatening supernatural role while also becoming the focus of romantic attachment.
Critical reception specifically highlighted the dragon as an unusually complex virtual character in Russian cinema and praised the film's computer effects and 3D graphics.
