What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
Michał Miauczyński's inner world is defined through his reactions to his wife, neighbors, and apartment surroundings.
The high-rise apartment building and Miauczyński's hatred of his wife turn home life into a source of constant pressure.
Miauczyński is explicitly grumpy, neurotic, and dislikable, yet remains the film's central consciousness.
The apartment complex functions as a dense social enclosure populated by neighbors Miauczyński cannot tolerate.
