What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
The rogue lion drives the chase structure, repeatedly forcing Nate and his daughters to navigate the game reserve under threat.
Nate's effort to protect Norah and Meredith is inseparable from his attempt to repair their strained relationship after their mother's death.
The film emphasizes extended moving-camera passages across the African reserve and during encounters with the lion.
The lion's aggression is connected to poaching and the destruction of its pride, framing the attack within human damage to the animal kingdom.
