What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
Yury Detochkin steals cars only from crooks and gives the proceeds to charity.
Detochkin's closest friend is the policeman investigating the car thefts.
The hero is legally a car thief but frames his actions as redistribution from corrupt owners to charitable causes.
The insurance office, police investigation, charity work, and social relationships are rendered through gentle comic observation rather than cynicism.
