What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
The plot centers on Matsu and six other female convicts enduring prison punishment before escaping together.
The film’s female-led revenge narrative, brutal exploitation imagery, and Toei production context place it within the pinky violence tradition.
The warden and guards subject imprisoned women to rape, torture, punishment, and degrading control.
Kabuki-like fantasy passages, color transformations, and lyrical images of leaves and blood punctuate the prison escape.
