What critics said
Critics broadly found the film to be a tense and distinctive animated zombie thriller whose outbreak story carries pointed social commentary, though some viewed it as relatively simple.
What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
The film uses animation for an intensely violent zombie outbreak involving homelessness, exploitation, and social abandonment.
The homeless man, runaway teenager, and other desperate figures occupy the story's emotional and social center.
Passers-by ignore the wounded homeless man, while the wider crisis exposes indifference toward people living at society's margins.
Seoul Station and its surrounding city spaces become the primary arena for pursuit, contagion, and desperate reunification.
