What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
Britt Reid inherits a newspaper empire while living as a playboy, then adopts the Green Hornet persona without conventional heroic preparation.
Kato provides the martial arts skill, mechanical ingenuity, and operational ability behind Britt's crime-fighting campaign.
Britt's masked persona, bravado, and amateur crime-fighting methods are treated as sources of comedy within an action framework.
Michel Gondry brings an inventive visual sensibility to the film's vehicle chases, martial arts sequences, and superhero set pieces.
