What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
Adam possesses a good job, marriage, villa, and family life yet remains dissatisfied and alienated from his former appetite for living.
Adam and Iris participate in swinger weekends governed by a rule that love and jealousy are not allowed, but Adam falls in love with Patricia.
The swingers' club culture permits sexual encounters while banning love and jealousy, creating the central dramatic contradiction.
Adam's expensive villa and comfortable family circumstances underscore rather than relieve his emotional discontent.
