What critics said
Critics generally found the aerial stunts and energetic action compelling, but considered the plotting increasingly illogical and predictable.
What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
The film repeatedly centers its action on skydiving, mid-air confrontations, emergency landings, and high-altitude parachute work.
Federal Marshal Pete Nessip learns skydiving and enters the professional jumping community to track the crew responsible for his brother's apparent death.
Pete rejects his superiors' assumption that the hijackers died and independently investigates the plane hijacking and parachute escape.
Critics repeatedly identify the film's deafening, hotdogging stunt energy while noting increasingly illogical plotting and strained suspension of disbelief.
