What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
Eddie earns a living applauding products and asking scripted questions on infomercials before becoming a media spectacle himself.
Eddie initially values being unnoticed, but a late-night host turns his anonymous work into sudden celebrity.
Eddie’s connection with Judy contrasts with the loud, exhausting attention generated by his accidental fame.
The plot is rooted in studio audience labor, dubious merchandise, talk-show publicity, and the economics of televised enthusiasm.
