What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
Johnny and Gheorghe build trust while repairing fences, tending sheep, and managing the lambing season.
Johnny’s sexuality, loneliness, and constrained life are intertwined with the isolated Yorkshire farm setting.
The film immerses its romance in harsh countryside textures, farm conditions, and close bodily labor.
Johnny begins as a binge-drinking, casually sexualized farmer and gradually moves toward attachment and responsibility through Gheorghe.
