What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
Doug's billionaire status and the dinner guests' confident consumption contrast with Beatriz's precarious position and moral alarm.
The dinner's conversation repeatedly pits Beatriz's holistic, compassionate outlook against Doug's competitive and acquisitive ideology.
The luxurious dinner party remains outwardly cordial while verbal repartee and accumulating discomfort make the gathering increasingly unbearable.
Beatriz, a Mexican holistic medicine practitioner and client employee, becomes an unwilling guest among wealthy white hosts and friends.
