What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
The new EMA substation manager imposes strict rules that clash with Oleg's patient-first instincts while his marriage is collapsing.
Katya still loves Oleg but seeks divorce because his devotion to emergency patients eclipses their relationship.
Oleg and Katya's intertwined personal and professional lives are presented as infuriating, vulnerable, and recognizably human.
Oleg's ambulance calls and commitment to saving lives form the practical and moral center of the story.
