What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
The film combines boarding-school farce, supernatural danger, violent set pieces, and deliberately pulpy genre mechanics.
Slaughterhouse's students are organized by pecking order, with privileged social elites shaping Don's experience.
Fracking near the school produces earthquakes, sinkholes, and methane leaks that trigger the film's escalating danger.
The English countryside and castle-like boarding school conceal fracking operations, unstable ground, and danger in the woods.
