What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
Captain Artemis and her squad are transported from a contemporary military mission into an alternate monster-filled universe.
Artemis moves from inadequate conventional weapons toward specialized monster-hunting tools and increasingly formidable adversaries.
Artemis leads the survival effort, adapts to the alternate world's threats, and develops into a capable monster hunter.
The alternate world is dominated by a barren desert and subterranean sand-dwelling beasts that constrain movement and resources.
