What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
Fred is a free-spirited journalist while Charlotte is a globally influential diplomat preparing a presidential campaign, making their relationship hinge on stark differences in status and class.
Charlotte's presidential ambitions, climate policy agenda, advisors, and public image shape the central comic environment.
Fred becomes Charlotte's speechwriter and struggles to function within her glamorous diplomatic and political team.
The film balances Fred's self-deprecating romantic appeal with R-rated sexual humor, drugs, profanity, and dangerous comic incidents.
