What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
The plot draws on demons, djinn-like supernatural entities, and South Asian mythological ideas surrounding Rukhsana's identity.
The story begins on a rainy day and repeatedly uses wet, shadowy environments and atmospheric tension to frame the horror.
Ruksahana is discovered chained in her mother's house and remains pursued and controlled by people who know her supernatural identity.
Arnab shelters Ruksahana at home, bringing occult danger into an otherwise ordinary marriage-oriented family setting.
