May contain story progression spoilers
Joe studies tapes of a television chef while media, voices, and recordings shape the film's atmosphere of indirect connection.
Joe presents himself as a helpful caterer and recommends lodging to Felicia while his history of abusing young women gradually surfaces.
Flashbacks disclose how Felicia, Joe, and other characters reached their current circumstances rather than presenting their histories in a single chronology.
