What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
The three couples navigate unwritten bathing rules, parenting expectations, romantic strain, and socially competitive behavior in Torekov.
Alex and Anna, Fredde and Mickan, and Ove and Anette form the film's central network of parallel relationship problems.
Critics specifically described the film as funny while noting a darker, grayer, and sadder underlying plot, especially in Alex's scenes.
Domestic relationships, child longing, divorces, strange parents, and local bathing etiquette provide the comic material.
