What critics said
Critics broadly found the film an uneven but appealing adult romantic comedy whose talented cast and musical elements could not fully overcome its contrived, overstuffed storytelling.
What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
Steven Lauddem's writer's block is directly tied to his renewed passion after an unexpected sexual encounter.
The plot combines one-night desire, secret relationships, religion, and a marriage involving mental-health struggles.
Steven, Patricia, Katrina, Julian, Tereza, and Magdalena are connected through overlapping romantic and familial tensions.
The central protagonist is a composer, and the relationship conflicts unfold within an adult urban cultural milieu.
