What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
Ernie and Lars repeatedly devise increasingly elaborate schemes to remove the mouse, only to be humiliated by its counterattacks.
The old house's rooms and fixtures drive the chases, traps, accidents, and mouse-versus-human confrontations.
The Smuntz brothers must manage their inherited house and business ambitions while their incompatible responses to the mouse intensify their conflict.
The film turns mouse-catching into a visually elaborate series of room-sized set pieces, with critics specifically noting its technical marvels and effects.
