What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
Şaban is deliberately turned into a public hero by an advertising company so he can endorse products that consumers do not want.
The central premise targets an advertising campaign designed to make low-quality products appealing through a manufactured spokesperson.
Poor young man Şaban is elevated from obscurity into a celebrated public figure while remaining tied to ordinary working-class life.
The advertising company constructs Şaban as a hero for promotional purposes rather than because of genuine heroic deeds.
