What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
Becky Something's concerts, backstage behavior, and recording sessions externalize her deteriorating mental and creative state.
Becky's sobriety struggle and self-destructive conduct are presented as damaging obstacles to her band, relationships, and artistic work.
Becky dominates Something She while her erratic behavior strains her relationships with Cassie, Marielle, Ali, Danny, and her daughter.
Concert volume, frantic backstage movement, confrontational dialogue, and Becky’s unstable presence create an aggressively immersive viewing experience.
