What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
Franz Eberhofer's police work and family life unfold in the small Bavarian village of Niederkaltenkirchen, with the regional setting central to the comic texture.
A murder case drives Franz back to his village, but the story presents the investigation through comic situations and an unconventional ensemble.
Franz feels comfortable as a village cop but finds his transfer to Munich deeply inconvenient before the murder draws him back.
Oma Eberhofer, Papa Eberhofer, Leopold, and Susi form a prominent family and relationship ensemble around Franz.
