What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
Peter Jackson's team transforms First World War footage into vivid, fluid, near-contemporary images while preserving its historical source.
Voices from British regiments and military services guide the account through enlistment, trench life, combat, and return.
Colorized faces, synchronized sound, and retimed movement emphasize individual expressions, fear, exhaustion, and camaraderie.
