What critics said
Critics broadly found the committed performances and central love triangle promising but undermined by a carelessly constructed, aimlessly meandering story.
What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
Daphne moves between Frank and Jack while imagining the different versions of herself each relationship permits.
The film uses grubby handheld footage, jump cuts, and images that partially obscure Daphne's face.
Frank's adventurous unpredictability and Jack's sober academic stability embody contrasting futures for Daphne.
Daphne is adrift after a breakup and struggles to form a coherent direction in love and life.
