What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
The protagonist's life is disrupted by an accidental phone call that opens access to a girl's relationship and domestic reality.
The phone call creates a window into the lives of the girl and her live-in partner, making distance and communication central motifs.
The elderly single protagonist leads a retired, lonely life but takes genuine pleasure in it before the call changes his routine.
The premise turns a seemingly mundane phone interaction and a live-in relationship into a source of intimate thriller tension.
