What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
The miners' work, community, and West Virginia setting shape the conflict as much as the explosion itself.
The miners have only one hour of oxygen after the methane explosion, creating a literal and steadily tightening deadline.
Nine miners struggle two miles underground with limited oxygen and no easy escape route.
