What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
The short is built from strange surrealistic images accompanying fantasies and confessions.
Two young men and two girls articulate loves that exceed customary standards, drawing on Rozanov's study of sexuality and its denial in Christianity.
The film explicitly uses non-linear narration to connect the characters' strange fantasies and loves.
The black-and-white 16 mm imagery is set entirely to Alexander Scriabin's The Poem of Ecstasy without dialogue.
