What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
The young crew's multi-generational mission deteriorates as suppressed instincts and competing forms of leadership reshape life aboard the ship.
The mission relies on deliberately selected young participants whose behavior is managed to preserve a future colonization effort.
The spacecraft becomes an enclosed pressure chamber where the crew cannot determine whether danger comes from space or from one another.
The film juxtaposes deep-space travel and the search for a new world with the controlled, enclosed spaces where the crew's conflict unfolds.
