What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
The amnesiac Princess Wai Chu is presented as Million Wong's missing daughter Ying, while multiple suitors and relatives misread the relationships.
The film is explicitly positioned as a Chinese New Year comedy and concludes its romantic complications with mass marriage.
Emperor Ocean and Princess Wai Chu inhabit the fictional kingdom of Hua Tien, where court politics and romance drive the farce.
Emperor Ocean is a kung-fu fanatic, and the plot includes parody of Louis Cha-style martial arts and Ip Man imagery.
