What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
Rayburn seeks the killer after saving a girl, while Sheriff Alice Gustafson pursues justice through an investigation.
The wildlife sanctuary and surrounding northern woods provide the setting for the killer's hunts and Rayburn's pursuit.
Rayburn lives in seclusion and alcoholism years after his teenage daughter disappeared, then becomes involved when another girl is threatened.
The sheriff's inquiry intersects with her troubled younger brother and the town's network of disappearances and suspected killings.
