What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
The plot centers on djins described through Quranic and Muslim spiritual beliefs as agents of a black-magic curse.
The curse is placed by a hater within or near the family, making interpersonal resentment the engine of the haunting.
Efsun and the affected villagers search for clues and exorcists to escape or defeat the black magic.
The story follows mostly Turkish villagers whose close and distant family relationships become entangled with the curse.
