What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
The suburban haunted house itself becomes the monster the children must investigate and defeat.
The investigation unfolds around Halloween and balances creepy house imagery with jokes, games, and youthful bravado.
The neighbor's home, normally part of the children's everyday street, becomes an animate and dangerous presence.
DJ, Chowder, and Jenny struggle to convince the babysitter, her boyfriend, and police officers that the house is alive.
