What critics said
Critics found the film an uneven but occasionally energetic raunchy teen comedy whose broad humor is balanced by gratuitous nudity and questionable stereotypes.
What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
The graduation breakup, sexual escapades, nudity, marijuana, and deliberately vulgar encounters drive much of the comedy.
Scott, Cooper, Jenny, and Jamie travel from London through Paris toward Berlin while repeatedly confronting comic obstacles.
Scott treats his emotional connection with German pen pal Mieke as a destined relationship and travels to meet her.
Scott is introduced as predictable and inexperienced, while Cooper is girl-crazy and their journey repeatedly tests Scott's assumptions.
